📚In his latest podcast, Dr. Andrew Huberman placed oral health as a critical seventh pillar of well-being, alongside sleep, sunlight exposure, nutrition, exercise, stress management, and social connections. This addition underscores the vital role of oral health in enhancing overall mental and physical health, advocating for its integration into daily wellness practices for optimal health and performance.

Huberman emphasizes the importance of brushing and flossing 2-3 times within a 24-hour period for optimal oral health.  He notes that if limited to once a day, nighttime is preferable due to lower saliva production while asleep, heightening the risk of dental problems.  Additionally, he recommends using a soft toothbrush to prevent gum damage and ensure thorough cleaning, underscoring the importance of gentle care in daily dental routines.
